There are always solutions to those seemingly impossible tasks. Based on the understanding of client’s intentions, we would balance the requirement and reality and turn it into possible options in using our experiences.

  • POC Research

    Background:

    A client wanted to know how a new designed portable device work in the hospital setting. But she did not know whom the target respondents were and ask for our suggestions.

     

     

    Different:

    This portable device was only introduced in China only a few years, many physicians did not know about it or confuse it with another similar product. The client and us did not know which departments, which hospitals were using them.   

     

     

    Solution:

    We have found out the association of that portable device, contacted with its Secretary-General and got some hospital names that were using the devices right now. Meanwhile, we’ve got a list of the association members online, we’ve sent recruiters to the relevant hospitals the members worked in for recruitment. So finally we have confirmed the target respondents and completed the target sample size.

  • Background:

    A client wanted to launch a set of equine products/medications in China. He did not know much about Chinese market and wanted to talk to the managers, trainers and vets in the equine clubs.

     

     

    Different:

    We’ve done many healthcare projects related to human, but this was the first time we got in touch with animal. Moreover, there are few licensed equine vets in China since equestrian sports is only for minority of people in China.   

     

     

    Solution:

    We found out one we-media that reporting the news of equine clubs. We established business relationship with him and asked him to introduce several potential respondents to us. We have successfully recruited 2 from them and used some time to explain our purposes and sincerely ask them if they could introduce their peers to us after the interviews. We have used this method to accomplish the target sample size the client required.

  • Background:

    A client wanted to hold several FGDs in Shanghai for testing different brands of ice cream.

     

     

    Different:

    There was 1 certain brand only sold in Guangzhou. And there were no cold chain delivery service in the couriers back then.   

     

     

    Solution:

    Our PM carried a box with drikold to keep the ice cream in certain temperature, to fly from Guangzhou to Shanghai. In this way, we have prepared all the targeted brands the client wanted to have.
